A hardcover binding method where pages are glued together, and then attached to a rigid cover wrapped in
paper. This method is typically used for high-quality. durable books like novels, coffee table books and photography books.

Spiral bound
Holes are punched along the edge of a stack of pages, and a continuous spiral wire coil is threaded through to bind the pages together creating a flexible, durable spine that allows the book to lay flat when open. It's often used for calendars and manuals.

Perfect bound
Individual pages are stacked together and glued along the spine with a strong flexible adhesive. Pages are trimmed to create a clean edge, and the cover is attached to the spine with glue. Commonly used for paperback books and professional brochures.

Saddle stitch
Sometimes called stapled binding, folded sheets of paper are stacked together and then stapled along the crease of the fold. Commonly used for booklets, magazines, and pamphlets with a small number of pages.

Glued
Most commonly used for tear-off pads, glued binding is created by stacking sheets of paper and then applying a strong adhesive to the edge, without a cover. This allows individual pages to be torn off easily when needed.

Lay flat
Created with a binding method that allows the pages to stay flat when laid open. This is achieved through special binding techniques that let the spine bend without damaging the pages. Often used for photobooks, orany book with two-page spreads.

Thread sewn
A bookbinding technique where pages are sewn together using strong thread. This method creates a durable, flexible spine that allows the book to open flat. It's commonly used for high-quality, long-lasting books. journals, and art books.

Folded
Created by folding sheets of paper into multiple panels, typically in abi-fold or tri-fold format. The folds allow the leaflet to be compact while still offering several pages of information. Commonly used for flyers and promotional materials.
